Some of the sites we review are based in Russia, and Russian laws allow you to to download mp3s as long as they are for personal use only and not distribution. You are not authorised to distribute, re-sell, or broadcast what you download.
Will the songs I download work with my iTunes & my iPod?
Yes, all songs downloaded work with iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Real Player and loads more! We have created a guide to help you add downloaded music to your iTunes Library here.
What does 'kbps' mean?
Kbps is 'Kilobits Per Second'. 192 kbps is CD quality. 320 kbps is the highest quality an mp3 can be. Anything below 192 kbps is considered poor quality, so try and look for higher ones where you can.
What does 'DRM Free' mean?
DRM (Digital Rights Management) is added to tracks to control how you can play, copy or burn music that you have bought via download. For example, DRM can prevent you from playing your mp3's on certain mp3 players. It can also restrict the number of times you can burn your mp3's onto a CD. DRM Free means that there are no restrictions on your mp3's so you can play or copy it as many times as you like onto any mp3 playing device. You can also burn it onto as many CD's as you like.
Can I copy my downloaded files onto CD's?
As long as you use it for your own personal use and don't distribute the copyrighted material to others, then you will not be breaking the law. It's acceptable to make a copy of digital music files or to burn copies for yourself, but not to share with others.
