MP3Skyline Review

The Scoop on MP3Skyline
MP3Skyline’s site design is poor compared to all other sites we have reviewed. The home page is very plain, there is a list of ‘New Releases’ which is up-to-date, but not chart music from any country. Just new releases. Their news section can be helpful and you can browse by music style. Our Verdict: Massive music collection, but the site could use a re-design as it has nothing to catch your attention, nothing to inspire your purchases!
Signing Up
Registering with MP3Skyline takes a few seconds, you just need to give your email address, a nickname and a password and you’re ready to go. They do not offer users a newsletter or anything like that, but I suppose with the amount of tracks they add each day (this can be anything up to 90,000!) they might be accused of spamming you with the new additions to the site! Unlike other sites, you do not receive any sort of offer for signing up, like free songs etc.
Payment Options and Offers
MP3Skyline accepts Visa or MasterCard as payment methods and it’s all safe and secure. They do not take any unauthorised payments. The minimum top up is $20.00, this amount applies everytime you want to top up your account. However, as with most websites, if you top up more, you can get some extra credit. Top up $35 and get $20 for free or top up $45 and get $45 for free.
Special deals, updates and all other site offers can be seen on our Offers page.
Prices
Prices on MP3Skyline are 15¢ per track throughout the site. Album prices vary depending on how many tracks are on the album, but will never cost you more than a few dollars. Unlike other sites, MP3Skyline do not offer a discount on their album price.
Music Selection
MP3Skyline’s music selection is something to be envied by other sites, they have over 3,387,100 tracks to date and this goes up and up each day. There is no music request section like other sites, but once again, I’m sure if you email them, they will do their best to find you a song. One thing MP3Skyline lacks is album art. We could say that there is very little album art, but there is even less than this! The odd album you come across may have a cover, but these are few and far between. The site allows previews of music to make sure you’re getting what you want. However, the preview is low quality, the actual download will be much better.
Search Facilitpostcurrencyy
MP3Skyline’s search facility works well; it will find what you ask for. The results are a little unclear; it lists albums and tracks only, so you do need to be quite specific with your search. Once you have found what you want, it’s easy enough to download. Once again, you can download whole albums or just single tracks if you prefer.
File formats & Bitrates
All music from MP3Skyline is in mp3 format. The quality of mp3s is 192kbps, which is very good for an mp3 download. Many tracks are labelled ‘VBR’ which for variable bit rate; however, these are generally high quality (192kbps) which is nice to know! See full descriptions of: DRM Free Music and Quality
