The Scoop on MP3Vips
MP3Vips is a plain site, with a few colours here and there, it does have a quirky edge though. MP3 songs are 15¢ each. MP3Vips’s homepage is easy to use with simple menus and a clean layout. Our verdict: A very cheap and funky site that works well and does the job with no messing about.

Signing Up
Registering with MP3Vips is easy and quick, just give them your email address, a password and agree to the terms and conditions. You can decide if you want to opt out of the ‘New Releases’ newsletter or not before you confirm your registration. MP3Vips is a mirror of another mp3 download site, MP3Mixx, so once you’re registered with one site, you can use the other site with the same login details. MP3Vips don’t give you any freebies when you register, so you don’t have anything to test the site with.

Payment Options and Offers
MP3Vips accept Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, Visa Electron, Discover, Diners Club, Delta, Solo or Switch. The minimum top up amount on the site is $20.00. This amount applies everytime you want to top up your account. However, if you top up a little more, you can get some free credit added to your account. Top up $50.00 to get $10.00 for free or top up $100.00 to get $25.00 for free.

Prices
MP3 tracks across the site are 15¢ each. An album won’t cost you over $2.00 on the site with tracks being so cheap. MP3Vips do not offer an album discount like other sites, if an album has 10 tracks, it will cost you a flat $1.50.

Music Selection
MP3Vips’s offer over tracks to download, which makes them one of the largest sites that we have reviewed. With so many songs, you’re bound to find some mp3 songs you just have to download. The site is packed with old and new music, charts, new releases, as well as older albums that are hard to find on other sites. The site allows previews of music to make sure you’re getting what you want. However, the preview is low quality, the actual download will be much better.

Search Facility
MP3Vips has a very good search facility, that returns accurate results very quickly. If they can’t find what you’re looking for, the results display a good list of suggestions of albums and artists with similar names. And if the search doesn’t do it for you, you can browse by Artists, Genres, Charts and the homepage is full of new releases etc, so there is loads to look through and download.

File formats & Bitrates
MP3Vips’s tracks are all in mp3 format. Most songs are 320 kbps, which is exceptionally good quality, very few songs on the site are lower than this. Some are 128 kbps, which isn’t great, so double check the quality of an album or track before you hit download. All songs are DRM free too, so they are your to do what you want with. Will it work with my iPod/iTunes?
